Youth and Philanthropy Initiative (YPI) Canada empowers high school students to direct hundreds of thousands of dollars annually to community-based social service charities through a school-based philanthropy project. Integrated into mandatory courses, students research social issues, select charities, and present their findings. The best presentations compete in a final, where a youth-led panel awards a $5,000 grant to the winning charity.​
